February 2022

Summer lovin' had me a blast!

(I hate that movie. Y'know what? The songs aren't that good. Give me Chicago, any day)

Hey Dangerfiends!

Greetings all, my covid has cleared up, my next novel First and Forever is weeks away from being finished and February is almost over, stupid little fake month that it is...

For amazing reasons I don't understand, my bestselling daddy novel Act Your Age is selling like gangbusters, has gained over fifty new Amazon ratings this month alone and has been in the top 5 in romance erotica which is super cool. Also, I'm in touch with a fantastic voice artist and despite some covid-related setbacks we look set to record the audiobook in April which is just đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„

I hope you're all having good starts to the year and that if social media is stressing you out as much as it does me that you feel comfortable stepping back. As Jenny Odell writes in her masterpiece 'How To Do Nothing', "attention may be the last resource we have left to withdraw." Your attention is valuable and individual and yours. Protect it if you can, care for it like a small, beloved puppy.

I just finished this series and I honestly adored it. Lorenzo forever 😍

Forbidden Romace...

Month two of my Forbidden romance collab đŸ’• This month's free read is MOONSTONE by Helen Hardt (I've already read this one and if you love two damaged people finding their bliss with each other, this is right up your alley). Available HERE

The How Novel podcast has released a new episode. My brilliant Irish mate Natasha and I talked 'Beautiful World, Where Are You' by Sally Rooney and laughed our asses off. It's a hilarious episode and I personally think you should check it out. Apple podcasts

First and Forever Excerpt

I literally finished writing this today and I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT for you to read it.

He groaned. “You’re a nightmare. Like, the sexiest, most talented girl in the world but such a nightmare.”

She scowled at him. “You know you don’t need to baby me. I can take care of myself.”

“Sure, you can. That’s why you’re making compost on your living room floor.”

“You don’t know me.”

Eden sounded like a nine-year-old who didn’t want to go to bed. Willow smiled at her. “Okay, pretty girl.”

“Don’t patronise me!”

Willow laughed. “Sometimes I can’t help it, you’re too fucking cute. Now can I please buy you a vacuum?”

She shoved him lightly in the chest. “You can’t fix me, you know.”

Willow frowned. “You don’t need fixing. You just need, like, a lot less garbage in your house.”

Eden didn’t smile. She rolled off his knees and settled, naked beside him on the couch. “You think you can make me like you, but you can’t.”

Willow was baffled. “Like me, how?”

“Nice.”

“You don’t think you’re nice?”

“I think I’m polite. I think
” She struggled to find the right words. “
I think I can put on a good show. But I’m not nice. Not the way you are.”

Willow looked down at her. The girl went out of her way to talk to her fans even though she found it overwhelming. “I don’t know why you think that, but you’re wrong. Now come back and let me hug you.”

First and Forever is scheduled for an April release. If you haven't read the first books in the series, go here you good things.

I'm having a wonderful, terrible time falling in love with Mac Millers music. Circles is the first full album I've listened to in years. RIP dude

Books of February!

Stolen Focus by Johann Hari. I'm a big Hari fan and this is a topic that interests me. I enjoyed this book a lot. Although I still think Jenny Odell wrote the err apparent focus book with the afrementioned 'How To Do Nothing.'

Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney. I go into it more on the podcast but SR's work is always interesting and readable even if I don't find her characters enjoyable to spend time with.

Priest by Sierra Simone.

Stroke of Midnight by K Webster.

This is Reckless by Kennedy Fox.

Thanks for reading! Hit me up any time on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, I love talking to readers and in general.

Fun Fact: I'm currently watching Always Sunny in Philadelphia. How fucked is to have a crush on both Mac and Dennis? Answers on a postcard, please?
