Have you, or someone you know benefitted from Catholic education?

Please consider making an investment in our Catholic schools so that more children can experience faith formation, academic excellence, and other advantages of a Catholic education.

We all know the decision to enroll students in Catholic school has become a bigger commitment as all families face rising costs of homes, vehicles, food, fuel, and more. That is why we have created a pathway for families to try Catholic education with a special offer through HALO 139.

Many of us already support tuition assistance for schools, through the endowment, the Bishop's Golf Invitational, and other opportunities, to help our families with most need for financial support. Yet, there is more to it.

To help more of the families on the margins, we must attract more families in the middle, who can afford tuition and will become a vibrant part of the school communities. In doing so, we will help ensure that our schools are for everyone - not just those at the top and the bottom of the socio-economic scale.

The HALO Initiative (HALO) and the CSO created HALO 139, a pilot program targeted to families who may not have considered a Catholic school, but want strong academics rooted in a faith-based environment for their children. The pilot uses a combination of internal and external marketing, along with an attractive offer of discounted tuition and deferred payments for families who have not yet tried a Catholic school. HALO 139 is being implemented at five Diocesan schools that have the capacity to add children, particularly in grades K-2. Out data shows that when families try our Catholic schools and stay for two or more years, they stay.

Your donation to HALO 139 will be used to offset the discounted tuition offered to 139 new children. It is important to note that HALO 139 is not a tuition assistance program, it is a customer acquisition effort that will increase enrollment and strengthen the finances of the pilot schools immediately. When the new students are retained through their education, schools will realize a significant increase in revenue for years to come.

We are blessed that several community leaders have pledged their support for HALO 139. The Mike & Mary Terry Family Foundation donated start-up funds for HALO 139, along with an additional Challenge Grant of $100,000. We need your donation to help us meet the Challenge.
