GRAND NATIONAL & WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MORGAN HORSE SHOW |
Well folks, the week-long Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show is in the books for 2020 and boy did everyone have a great time together. Below are the some highlights from Oklahoma. |
Kaitlyn Jackson & Graycliff Go Navy CH are WORLD CHAMPIONS!! Yes folks, you heard that right, they are the WORLD CHAMPIONS in the Huntseat Equitation 16-17 (out of a deep class of 17 riders). WOWZA!!!! |
And it didn’t stop there as Kaitlyn and SMSE Red Lightning “Jolene” placed 4th place in the AMHA finals (out of a deep field of 14). Congratulations to Katie and her amazing horses! |
Lindsay Heliker had an outstanding ride and came home RESERVE CHAMPION UPHA Morgan Junior Challenge Cup and 3rd in qualifier with UVM Odyssey. Rachael also got behind the wheel and had a grand time driving Odyssey. |
Lindsay, new to the Hunt Seat division, placed a superior 4th in Hunt Seat Equitation 13 & Under on Layla. Special thanks to Tina Falkenberg for graciously sharing Layla for MGN! |
Tatum Foster and Litigator killed it on their first trip to OKC. This team won the Reserve World Championship and also brought home a second place ribbon in the National Champions for 9 & Under Equitation. They also placed third in World Championship 13 & Under Showmanship division. Way to go Tatum - you rock! |
Tamara Moravec and Morengo SS "Junior" brought home a third place ribbon in a deep field of 17 in her World Championship Class and this is after she placed third out of nine beautiful horses and competitive riders in the Grand National Classic Pleasure Saddle Masters. Brooke also rode Morengo to a Top Three ribbon. |
And not only does she ride well, but she also drives and Tamara and Morengo placed Fifth in the World Championship Final as well as the qualifier in the Classic Pleasure Driving Masters. Tamara's other horse, Old School Groove, "Viv" also brought home a Top Three with Frank driving. Very impressive Team Tamara! |
In her first, and hopefully not last, trip to the Performance Arena, Keara Holland and Festival Bossanova had a great time showing in the 13 & Under Equitation class. |

FALL FUN HORSE SHOW COSTUME CONTEST HIGHLIGHTS |
The Fall Fun Horse Show kicked off the month of November in style and the costumes were FANTASTIC. A HUGE thank you to Rachael Heliker as she shared many of her older costumes with other girls from the barn and she made everyone look fantastic. Our FB post was even shared by the Morgan Horse Magazine which is EPIC. Speaking for FB, see more videos and photos on our FB page at MillerEquestrianServiceCA. |

RETIREMENT FOR JARAD DAWSON |
FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS Jarad Dawson, age 21, has officially retired! Dawson has been with the Miller family over 13 years and has more than earned his retirement badge. Dawson was originally given to Ann and Frank’s daughter, Savanna, as her first show horse. He taught Savanna, and many others, to be betters riders including Rachael, Tamara and most recently, Keara! Dawson was recently moved to the Heliker’s Ranch to live out his older years grazing, trail riding and enjoying the sunshine. I asked Savanna to give me three words that best describe Dawson and she told me that to her, "Dawson is spunky, game and has the biggest heart of any horse I know!" We all agree Savanna and he will be forever in our hearts! |

The Moore Family – Alyssia, Anne and Chris brought home FMM Incognito, Barn Name: Cooper. Cooper is a 10-year old gelding out of TRE Master of Disguise and TRE Kathleen. This boy dominated the Classic Pleasure division at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show. Alyssia and Cooper began their love story together by winning both of their classed at the Fall Fun Horse Show yesterday! |
Lindsay and Rachael were very busy horse shopping at MGN and they brought home not one, but two lovely horses. SN Mardi Gras Boogie "Grace" out of Rowenda Boogie on Down x Raintree Mardi Gras is a 5-year-old that is a star in the Hunter Pleasure division. Thank you to Tom Bombolis of Arcola Farm in Minnesota for this gorgeous young mare. |
They also will love on Rustic V's Bottom Line “Dale” a large, 9-year-old gelding out of On Line x Queen's Lady Ashley from Merin Maggi at Maggi Stables in Northern California. Lindsay rode Dale to a blue ribbon yesterday and I'm pretty sure there are more blues in their future! |
Janet Bole has a new love in MCG Cosmic Cowboy. "JC Cowboy" is as sweet as they come and just the right speed for Jan as he most recently has been riding western discipline. Thank you to Scott Nevers from Never Ending Farm in Michigan for this amazing 15-year old love! Jan also said goodbye to Gradell Center of Action. Teddy headed east to New Hampshire and is going to work for a young girl under the direction of trainer Sarah Gove at Taylor River Farm. Jan also bought a new Freedman saddle, so she and Cowboy will be styling together. Congratulations to Jan on...everything! |
Susie brought home a new gelding from Indian Creek Farms named Indian Creek Master Chief. "Chief" is a 6 year old out of Hollybrook Stage Rage x Long Acres Broadway. Susie and Chief had their debut yesterday and brought home the blue! Congrats!!! Stop by and introduce yourself to these new lovely horses! |
