Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water!!!
The constantly evolving Covid-19 situation has been exemplified with the events of the last couple of weeks. After publishing my recent latest travel guidance blog, I was becoming increasingly conscious that in order to advise clients with total confidence, I needed to experience the new travel norm for myself at the earliest opportunity.
The travel gods must have been looking kindly upon me as I was subsequently chosen as one of only five UK agents to spend two nights in Marbella, courtesy of an inspiring industry initiative arranged to enable us to personally share the post-lockdown travel experience.
It not only allowed me to get this valuable journey under my belt but was a much-needed tonic for my soul, albeit a brief one, after a challenging few months.

Thankfully I managed to get to Marbella and back before the regulations changed once again for travel to Spain. I really feel for those travellers out there who are suffering with uncertainty, anxiety and confusion about the new guidance and what happens on their return, plus those who are or were due to travel imminently.
If there has ever been a time to further advocate using the services of a reliable and experienced travel agent, it is surely now. The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) has also just updated an extremely useful guide for customers.
Reflecting the current uncertainty and day-to-day fluctuations, passengers appear to now be looking to get away a little later this year, but I am also seeing a great deal of focus on plans for 2021 and 2022, especially for those special occasion trips.
This month, I’ve been taking great pleasure in spending virtual time in Mauritius whilst working on a couple of salivating honeymoons and a gorgeous wedding.
