Carousel Charity Horse Show

Miller Equestrian goes 1-2 in the 8 deep Saddle Seat Equitation Championship (Keara Holland and Tatum Foster )

Miller Equestrian also earned the 1-2 spot in the nine deep UPHA Challenge Cup (Keara Holland and Tatum Foster)

The Miller team brought 22 horses to Scottsdale for the Carousel Charity Horse Show last month. The team entered 85 classes and brought home 24 tricolor and championship blue ribbons.

KEARA HOLLAND

& Uncommon Jewel

It was a clean sweep for pattern perfect Keara Holland and Uncommon Jewel in Scottsdale as they went UNDEFEATED in all five equitation classes, against some deep and talented competition.  

 

Saddle Seat Equitation 17&Under Grand Champion

Saddle Seat Equitation 14-17 Champion

UPHA Challenge Cup 17&Under Champion

USEF Saddle Seat Medal Champion

The Good Hands Champion

 

Keara also joined in on the fun of the AMHA Youth of the Year Contest and took home the Championship ribbon in the Senior division. She finished 1st on the written exam, 1st in the horsemanship pattern, 2nd on the speech and 2nd in judging.

ANN BLANKENSHIP

& Spirit of New York PSF, Private Eyes and Clayhill Affirmative GCH

Spirit of New York PSF tore up the ring with Ann Blankenship on whip and made victory passes to bring home the Grand Champion tricolor in ASB Country Pleasure Driving as well as the blue in the qualifier.

 

Private Eyes shined bright with the Reserve Grand Champion tricolor in Morgan Pleasure Driving Stake with Frank Miller on whip.

 

CLARA WOSSER

& Namaste

Clara showed off her stellar equitation skills and bested the competition in Morgan Hunt Seat Equitation to bring home the Grand Champion tricolor aboard Namaste!

 

Clara also had much success in the AMHA Youth of the Year Contest and earned the Reserve Champion tricolor in the Senior Division. Clara was 1st in the speech, 1st in judging, 2nd in the written exam, and 3rd in horsemanship pattern.

FRANK MILLER

& Cash

Poncho racked his way down the rail to a Grand Championship tricolor in the ASB Five Gaited Junior/Novice Horse Stake on his gorgeous gelding Cash

ASHTYN MARIE COX

& Motivated Ms.

Motivated Ms. and Ashtyn Marie Cox teamed up in their first show in the hunt seat division and what a team they have been bringing home the Grand Championship tricolor in Morgan Walk/Trot Saddle/Hunt Pleasure 11&Under.

 

What a beautiful way for three generations to celebrate!

TAMARA MORAVEC

& Morengo SS CH, Rustic V's Bottom Line, Bear's Necessity GCH and Muy Bien CH

Tamara brought four horses to the show (Morengo SS CH, Rustic V’s Bottom Line, Bear’s Necessity GCH and Muy Bien CH) and was seen in the saddle as well as on whip.

 

Tamara’s top honors were with her favorite boy, Morengo SS with the Reserve Grand Champion in Morgan Classic Pleasure Saddle Stake as well as the blue in the qualifier.

 

Tamara was also seen in a new division on her gorgeous western mare, Bear’s Necessity GCH. She also rode the hair off Rustic V’s Bottom Line in the English Pleasure division.

 

Way to go Tamara! This show season is going to be a ton of fun watching you grow with your new string!

TATUM FOSTER

& Old School Groove

Tatum Foster stepped up into walk/trot/canter this year with her brand new park/equitation pony Old School Groove, and what a show they put on against some deep and talented competition with a Reserve Grand Champion tricolor in Saddle Seat Equitation 17&Under as well as a blue in the 13&Under qualifier.

 

We can’t wait to watch this team as they progress throughout the show season!

BROOKE YULE-GRONAU

& SLR Sam Spade and Ultra's Love Potion

Brooke Yule-Gronau rode the hair off Ultra’s Love Potion CH to a Reserve Grand Championship tricolor in the Morgan English Pleasure Open Stake as well as a blue in the qualifier. Lovey is owned by Jordan Canby (who was sidelined with a broken wing).

 

She also slowed her roll on SLR Sam Spade in the Morgan Western Pleasure Stake and earned the Reserve Grand Championship tricolor as well as the blue in the qualifier. Sam is owned by Andy and Linda Yule.

 

Congrats to the Yule family of lovely equestrian ladies!

LEAH

& Indian Creek Master Chief

Leah and Indian Creek Master Chief have been working really hard in their new hunt seat division and their hard work paid off at Carousel Charity with the Reserve Grand Champion tricolor in Morgan Walk/Trot Saddle/Hunt Pleasure 11&Under. They also took victory laps in Morgan Walk/Trot Saddle/Hunt 11&Under as well as Morgan Walk/Trot Saddle/Hunt Pleasure 11&Under.

AUDREY THORNTON

& Muy Bien CH

Audrey was seen on multiple horses and in multiple divisions and laid down an amazing pattern to bring home the AMHA Saddle Seat Medal on Muy Bien CH. Hoss is owned by Tamara Moravec/Fidelis Farms.

 

Audrey also participated in the Youth of Year contest and placed 2nd in the horsemanship pattern. Great job Audrey!

BETSY KRUTEK

& Fortunately Chanel

Betsy brought her favorite mare, Fortunately Chanel, to AZ and earned top honors in the versatile Carriage Ride and Drive.

AMHA Morgan Youth of the Year Contest

Miller Equestrian is very proud of their riders for taking the time and effort to enter the AMHA Youth of the Year Contest at Carousel Charity Horse Show. We had four girls enter the contest and two that participated in all four area (written exam, oral presentation, horsemanship pattern and judging contest).

 

Let’s give a shout out to the following four participants -

 

Senior Division Overall Winners:

Champion – Keara Holland (1st in horsemanship pattern, 1st in written exam, 2nd in oral presentation, and 2nd in judging). Keara has now punched her ticket to participate in the YOTY at Morgan Grand Nationals this October in OKC.

Reserve Champion – Clara Wosser (1st in oral presentation, 1st in judging, 2nd in written exam and 3rd in horsemanship pattern)

Senior Division - Audrey Thornton (not pictured) 2nd in the horsemanship pattern

Junior Division - Paige Torok (center above) 3rd in the horsemanship pattern

 

WINTER TOURNEY HORSE SHOW

The Winter Tourney Horse Show was a huge success! When the rain went away and the sun came out, the Sunday March 5th show was spectacular. Congratulations to all our riders and a high five to our top finishers that are now sporting their blue HORSE SHOW CHAMPION t-shirts proudly around the barn!

DIAMOND JUBILEE HORSE SHOW

Join us for the 50th Annual Diamond Jubilee All Breed Horse Show. AMHA & ASHA Star Rated.

 

The Diamond Jubilee Horse Show begins on Thursday, April 20th and continues through the weekend. The Academy team can show on Sat-Sun. See schedule of classes in the link below.

Saturday Afternoon

 

Join us as we celebrate the 50th annual Diamond Jubilee Horse Show!

 

All guests attending are requested to bring a bottle of wine worth more than $10. Trade each bottle for a raffle ticket. Enter as many times as you would like. Winner takes all the wine home!!

 

Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be available at the Diamond Bar as well as Live Music! All Are Welcome!!!
