Hotelier acquires another 2.4 million shares in Atlantic Sapphire

Strawberry Capital, owned by hotel magnate Petter Stordalen, now owns more than six percent of Atlantic Sapphire after securing another 2,428,283 shares in the beleaguered land-based salmon producer before the close of the Oslo Bourse on Monday.

The transaction was made at a price of NOK 5.38 per share.

The latest share purchase comes after it was announced earlier Monday that the investment firm has bought 1,105,215 shares in the salmon producer.

In total, Strawberry Capital now owns 9,229,380 shares, corresponding to six percent of the land-based farming company.

The largest owner in Atlantic Sapphire is the British hedge fund Pelham Capital, with 10.2 percent of the company’s shares, ahead of the founders Johan E. Andreassen and Bjørn-Vegard Løvik (primarily through the holding company Alsco) with a total of 9.9 percent ownership.

Atlantic Sapphire’s share price rose by a whopping 35.2 percent on Monday.
