IICE Update, New Member Spotlight, and KAO News!

 University of Southern Maine Inducts Nine New Members to KAO Chapter

The Kappa Alpha Omicron Honor Society at the University of Southern Maine hosted an induction ceremony on December 12th with nine outstanding students from the Environmental Science and Policy department inducted into the KAO Zeta Chapter. Student President, Hailey Janelle, talks about the celebration in a blog!

Member Spotlight

Robin Aspman-O'Callaghan

 Robin Aspman-O'Callaghan is an active counselor for the IEA and professor of Management at City University of Seattle, in Washington state. Her colorful demeaner is present both in and outside the classroom. I can only presume her lectures are served with a side of spunk. Her journey began at Huxley College of Environmental Studies where she remembers on the first day of Air Pollution Class the professor asked for a specimen of her hair. "You see, arsenic was one of the more common poisons people in Tacoma were exposed to", O'Callaghan recalls. A native to Tacoma and eager to learn, Robin readily agreed and pulled out a single strand.
