a wet winter

Much of the country is having unusual weather this winter - or at least weather once considered unusual, but thanks to climate change is now typical. We've had a lot of rain in Southern California due to "atmospheric rivers" also known as the "Pineapple Express." I'm not sure which term I like best, they're both pretty descriptive. Whatever you call them, they make the skies gorgeous, and we've been fortunate to have been spared the worst of the weather.

My husband and I will soon head out for a long-planned vacation. I've checked the weather at our destination, and it looks like we'll have rain every day. Thankfully, we've got raincoats and umbrellas, plus, it will be great weather for writing.
