OCTOBER 6, 2021 Dear *|FNAME|*, Welcome to the first edition of my newsletter. It marks a change in the way I will share new art, thoughts, personal experiences and artistic inspiration. Till recently I was sharing my news via social media and online galeries. But that felt very distant. I decided to rely more on personal contact instead and word of mouth. And it feels much more comfortable, sharing my creative journey this way. In this newsletter I will introduce my new website and online gallery, latest art and tell about special commissions. Enjoy the newsletter! Please share and forward this to whoever you think is interested in my art and/or service. Warm regards, Frank |

WEBSITE UPDATE Online gallery In order to make it easy to navigate my portfolio and offerings, I have changed my website into an art galerie with different sections. Below a short introduction. Abstract art Visual poems expressing wanderings, a dialogue from within. I am a yoga practitioner and I sit in silence quite regularly. My abstract pieces are visual interpretations of inner observations and wanderings. |

Drawings Miscellaneous I make a lot of little doodles to explore new ways to express myself in various techniques. Especially when working on an assignment, I make dozens of drawings to study. Here you can find a handful of them to show how idea's spark and what's at the cradle of works of art. |

Tronies This is a series of portraits about turning your focus inwards. Just like my abstract art, these pieces are about inner work as well. I made a large series over the past year in oil on paper board. Size, 12,5x11cm. These are expressions of faces being in a natural balanced and conscious state of mind. In ease. What do you feel when looking at these? |

THOUGHTS I have put down some lines of words in an attempt to get across, how I feel about making (abstract) art. How this passion drives me and brings me ultimate joy. Abstract art. I have a passion for art Rooted in my deep Self It moves me, guides me, I listen, learn and gently transform I am on a quest for creative liberation To be able to fully surrender, being in the now
Art is my language, in many forms Balancing emotions, in body and mind Reflected on canvas
Marks of matter in spacious emptiness Movements by lines and surfaces Values of light Composing a harmony
It’s like a dialogue, me, the medium, we dance In flow, we reveal the creative space within Its beautiful imperfections My truth My connection to oneness* Oneness* - the state of being completely united with somebody/something, or of being in complete agreement with somebody (Oxford dictionary)

COMMISSIONS Hera and sisters T and N Earlier this year I had the honour of making a couple of portraits for customers of mine. One large size portrait of a lovely Labrador named Hera. It was a joy to make and a special handover. I wrote a blog about the creative proces which also gives a good impression of how commissions work. Hit the button below to have a look. T and N are sisters I painted, early 2021. The eye below is a detail closeup of one of them. On my website you can find some more photo's of details of the paintings and other portraits I did over the last year. Click here to go to portraits. |
