Lauren Reed Discovers, and Now Fosters,
Transformative Education in Prisons |

Lauren Reed didn't discover the power of education from her experiences in school. It was the educational courses she took in prison, from math to political science and public speaking, that revealed the "liberating power" of higher education. Now her work with the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison allows her to support others who are opening the same door for those currently incarcerated or transitioning from inside to a new life. Lauren shares her experience and her perspectives in this month's blog. |
