February Newsletter 

We all have different capacities to give and receive joy throughout our lives. Let’s not forget that our “tank needs to be full” in order to best help another. and we don’t have to overcomplicate it! We hope you can find an opportunity this month that best suits your joy journey. And don’t ever hesitate to reach out to us with questions or ideas.

Power of JOy is a nonprofit organization with no political or religious affiliation

This wonderful organization furnishes homes for individuals, families and veterans emerging from homelessness. A few of us painted canvases for children’s bedrooms, and the others organized many donations that had been dropped off to the warehouse.

Thanks to Kathy Supan, Sonali Morris, Robin Forney, Kathleen Goldfarb, Jill Savin, Lisa Lentz, Jodi Garceau and Rita Szymczak for spending a few hours to help our communities as we spread joy through one of the eight pillars—generosity!

If you have gently used furniture, lamps, pictures, etc. Please keep Humble Design in mind. They take donations on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-2 pm.

Our next service project will be March 22 at Big Hearted Blooms in Cleveland. Look for details to come soon.

HIKING GROUPS

There are different ways of losing a partner. It doesn't matter how...you are welcome!

Loss of partner or child group: Social planned for February 17th. Reach out to Ellen (eluebbers1@gmail.com) for details.

After the hike on the 25th, a fire and warm refreshments will be awaiting all three hiking groups at the Katydid Lodge at the park.

Reiki is an ancient energy healing technique administered by the "laying of hands" in a quiet & serene environment. Expect to feel a sense of calm and well-being after a treatment.

Be a part of planning committee for weekly joy outings/ can be done from home!
