August 21, 4 pm: "Caring for Beethoven" ChamberFest Brown County is excited to welcome professor Dr. Roman Ivanovitch from the Indiana Uniersity Jacob's School of Music faculty to give a talk entitled "Caring for Beethoven" at the Historical Society's Grand Hall in Nashville, Indiana on Saturday afternoon. "Caring for Beethoven is meant in a double sense," says Dr. Ivanovitch; "caring about Beethoven and also “looking after” him — being sensitive to his legacy and what it means." Dr. Ivanovitch is a scholar who specializes in 18th-century music, and a one-of-a-kind lecturer. Whether you're a Beethoven connoisseur or unfamiliar with his music, we guarantee that this will be a fascinating and insightful talk about one of the great figures in the history of Art. This will be a free, non-ticketed event! |
