Do We Have Bikes? As this unusual summer of supply chain shortages begins to wind down, we are starting to receive more bikes! However, our inventory is nowhere near a typical year. We strongly recommend that if you are looking to secure a bike you come in ASAP. Currently on the show floor, you’ll see a thin selection of mountain, gravel, road, electric, comfort, and kids bikes. |

What's the Turnaround Time for a Repair? Due to an influx in repairs and being short-staffed, the current turnaround time for a basic tune is a week and a half. Call 541-719-1213 to schedule an appointment to expedite the process. Please note that certain parts are taking longer than usual to get because of increased demand and industry shortages. If you have broken parts or extraordinary repairs, we recommend bringing your bike in for the most accurate quote on turnaround. |

|
Can I Rent a Bike? Currently, our limited rental fleet consists of; hardtails, full suspensions, and town bikes. Please call or visit the shop to reserve. |

We Will Be Closed On Sundays To prioritize the well-being of our staff and shop, we have decided to take Sundays off. |

McKenzie Pass Update McKenzie Pass is open to vehicles for the remainder of the summer months. We recommend getting an early start to beat the heat, smoke, and vehicles. Generally, the pass remains open up until mid-November snow dependent. |

August Update From Sisters Trail Alliance (STA): Volunteers put the finishing touches on the Tollgate to High School trail - Sisters Trails Alliance (STA) volunteers have put the final touches on the rehabilitation of the Tollgate to Sisters High School (SHS) trail. In 2019, thanks to a generous donation from Sisters trail-lover Mike Ilg, STA resurfaced and widened the trail that connects Tollgate with SHS and installed two benches along the way. The rehab plan called for the installation of two interpretive signs to share information about student projects and the flora and fauna in the area. Those plans were derailed in 2020 as COVID struck, but came to fruition this year.- We Need a Few More Aid Station Volunteers for Oregon Cascades 100 - Our friends at Alpine Running are hosting their 100 mile race from Bend to Sisters on August 28 & 29 and STA is the beneficiary (that means they make a really nice donation to us!) in exchange for running two aid stations. Our aid stations are open from 6 pm Saturday to early afternoon Sunday. Our aid stations are relatively close to Sisters, one on Brooks Scanlon Road and the other on FS Road 1608, just off of Three Creek Road. We could use a second volunteer to share overnight duty at the FS 1608 aid station and we also need volunteers on Sunday to relieve the overnighters. The runners are SO close to the finish at our aid stations and looking to us to encourage them on to the finish. If you're interested in helping out, email Ann right away at info@sisterstrails.org for more information!

August Update From Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA): From COTA Trail News - August: Hello Friends, Undeterred by the hot temperatures, trail users and volunteers are still getting after it and it's great to see our trails getting a little refresh from rain the past couple of days. Despite this rain, the dry conditions of the trails still persist. This means that we are shifting some of our efforts to maintaining our existing trail network. Our hard working volunteers have been putting in the hours brushing trails, updating signage, and clearing drains. Why do we talk about drains so often? They play an important role in trail sustainability: We build drains to shed fast moving water from the trail before it slows down and deposits the sand (ridden through a sand puddle lately?). There are also cases where the tread erodes without good drainage. By doing this drainage work, our volunteers help keep the trails in the best possible shape as we start making plans for fall trail building. On Friday, August 13th at 8am, in collaboration with Facebook and the Crook County Chamber of Commerce, we will have the official opening of the Quadruple Bypass section of the 66 trail system. This new section of trail includes wood features and is located on the north side of Highway 126 behind the Facebook Data Center. Learn more at the Crook County Chamber of Commerce. Upcoming Races Mudslinger: Left Coast XC and CX, August 28-29 Ring of Fire, September 25 - for over a decade, the hot topic that Mudslinger Events has had requests to produce is a 100K to go along with our July High Cascades 100. With that being said, we can't do both on the same day in July, and 100 Miles is a lot for many. Fall 2021 at Wanoga Snow park, we are proud to offer a 100K or 40-mile singletrack laced MTB race in Beautiful Bend, Oregon. The event's name refers to the Cascade Mountains and the Volcanos part of a 25,000-mile Volcanic area in the Pacific Ocean Basin called the Ring of Fire. Embrace the lava and all the fantastic singletrack and the opportunity to have one great late-season race and finish with a smile.

All Bodies on Bikes | SHIMANO Kailey Kornhauser and Marley Blonsky are on a mission - a mission to change the idea that people in larger bodies can't ride bikes. The duo aims to make cycling more inclusive, beyond just inviting people of all sizes to ride bikes, but by changing the entire idea of what it means to be a cyclist — not just on screens, but on trails and in people’s minds. |
