Election Success!!!

We are excited to continue work with both Monitor Township and Bay City Public Schools on their projects that were both successful in the August election.

Monitor Township Fire Department -

WTA Architects along with Serenus Johnson completed an assessment and conceptual design for a new/renovated fire station. With a successful bond vote, the project is proceeding to finalize design documents with the goal of construction beginning in fall 2020.

Bay City Public Schools -

The voter-approved bond will provide upgrades and improvement projects across the district. The levied funds will be used for facility improvements such as a gymnasium addition to Western Middle and High School, auditorium renovations at both Western and Central High Schools and Handy Middle School, refurbishing district school buildings, adding to the district’s technology assets, buses, and improving athletic fields and facilities.

YOUTH SHELTER

WTA recently completed a 2,000 s.f. renovation at the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City that creates a safe place for at risk youth between the ages of 12 to 17. The Youth Shelter, has been designed with materials and natural light to provide an environment that will encourage calmness, warmth, and positive connections.

The 10-bed space includes 5 beds for girls and 5 for boys. Each unit provides community space, a bathroom and group sleeping area. The open style maximizes the space and improves safety.
