Mediumize has had an incredible impact on the Metro Detroit community since being established on March 13th. Our online assistance platform has been receiving some traction, but, more notably, our physical service efforts have expanded rapidly. Mediumize volunteers are helping in 26 cities in and outside of Michigan with no looks of slowing down. There are currently around 175 people engaged in our community, which can be greatly accredited to publicity from Tech Crunch, the Metro Times, the Oakland Press, the Jewish News, and WWJ (all can be viewed through our news page). We were even scheduled to receive publicity from Nickelodeon and the Dr. Phil Show respectively before both were delayed due to the California stay-home order.
Other efforts we have taken have been in the form of donations. Mediumize has collected and distributed thousands of gloves and hundreds of masks to local hospitals. Our most recent venture has been in partnership with another local non-profit to assemble care packages and donate them to our local fire departments. The care packages include items such as professionally made cards and individually-packaged, healthy food items from Detroit company Savorfull. If you would like to help our efforts to distribute care packages to those giving back to our local communities, please visit our donation page.
Lastly, we have made many changes to our website - possibly since the last to you saw it. Check it out!
