"Ask not what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive … then go do it! Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive."
– Howard Thurman
Hello!! It's been a while. I've been so busy working, playing, creating, and living and there have been so many wonderful and exciting things happening here in my life that I've been out of touch with all of you. But I'm back and cannot wait to share all the things that are sparking joy in my life right now.
Yoga has been sparking joy in my life for over 20 years as a practitioner and over 15 years as a teacher. I am still amazed that I get to share what I deeply love with people ... and make a living at it. Now don't get me wrong, there are days when I'd rather play in my gardens all day or knit and binge on a good streaming series. There are days when I don't want to think about yoga none the less practice, after all I am human. But if I can take a moment, call to mind the what I love so much about my practices, and conjure up gratitude for the fact that it's my job to share those practices I always find myself in a grateful and joyful mindset.
For many years I had dreamt of not only sharing yoga, but sharing Kripalu Yoga. And not sharing Kripalu Yoga just anywhere but specifically at Kripalu. A little over 8 years ago that dream became my reality. On May 1st something that I did not even know could be possible became my reality. I became Lead Faculty for Kripalu Center. A position that is brand new at the center and is a rarity out in the world, a full time position teaching yoga, leading programs, leading teacher trainings, facilitating RISE programming, as well as being involved behind the scenes at Kripalu with supporting staff, creating curriculum, and advising the larger organization. I feel so at home in my new role, doing what I love, loving what I do, and excited to see what the future brings!
Here is a photo of me with the other lead faculty Janna Delgado and Steven Leonard ... The Three Amigos on our first day...
May you be happy,
May you be healthy,
May you ride the waves of your life with skill and grace,
May you know peace no matter what life circumstances.
Many Blessings,
Michelle ❤︎
