The FLUORIDE Report

Hello :

WOULD YOU GO TO YOUR DENTIST OR A TOXICOLOGIST FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON NEUROTOXINS?

In Windsor ON, the local public health unit website states that fluoridated water with a concentration of 1.5 mg/L or less "poses no risk to human health". Among the website's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), is a statement that infant formula can safely be prepared with water containing fluoride. To support this claim, it links to a 2018 American Dental Association document titled Fluoridation Facts. There are no references to any of the numerous studies published since 2018 that do in fact point to serious health concerns relating to the consumption of fluoridated water by pregnant mothers and bottle-fed babies.

The health unit FAQ section also states that the "best available science-based evidence" does not establish a causal relationship between drinking water fluoridated at recommended levels and lowered intelligence (IQ) or behavioural disorders in children.

This claim is copied word-for-word from the website www.ilikemyteeth.org and also references no research published after 2018. This site is produced by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and funded by organizations tied to the dental profession.

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

This short presentation entitled Fluoridated water and the developing brain shows the reader why both of these claims are not supported by peer-reviewed science. The presentation references eleven (11) recent studies published by some of the world's leading toxicology experts. It also provides recommendations to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit to put the record straight, in order to stop misleading pregnant women and parents of bottle-fed babies about the dangers of fluoride.

Conclusions

  • Public Health authorities are not keeping up with evolving science: Fluoridated water is not safe for babies.

  • Dentists are not neurotoxicology experts. Dental organizations claiming there are no concerns relating to neurotoxicology are providing obsolete and incorrect information to support their position.

  • Precautionary principle: Pregnant women and new parents should be advised to use non-fluoridated water to protect their baby’s developing brain.

  • The science is evolving: Many recent high-quality peer-reviewed studies show health concerns associated with fluoride (even if the biological mechanism isn’t yet fully understood).

FLUORIDE FACT

From the top down, Government officials still tout the "Safe and Effective" mantra, ignoring mounting new studies pointing to the neurotoxicity of fluoride to the developing brain. They should at the very least be warning pregnant women and parents who formula-feed their babies about the dangers of fluoridated water.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TODAY?

Do you know a pregnant woman or a family that feeds their baby with formula that is reconstituted with fluoridated water? Do them a great service and forward this newsletter to them.

Sincerely,

Dr. James Winter, Ph.D.
