Many members refer to Slippery Rock Campground (SRCA) as their "Happy Place". When they drive through the gate, their only concern is do they have enough food and drink in the fridge, and will the rain hold off so they can have a fire and roast some hot dogs. Their quest for knowledge may be limited to the weekly calendar of events or the status of a recently submitted work order or permit.
Other members share their enthusiasm for the SRCA experience, but they also are interested in the inner workings of the Association. What's the Board doing? How are we doing financially? Are the best interest of the members being served.
There are any number of pages included on the website to provide information to the members, calendars, For Sale or Rent Listings, Board meeting minutes, financial statements, FAQ, but to expand the availability of information, a new function is being added, the Library.
The Library contains documents that can be divided into three categories. First, there are documents that are unique to individual members, work orders, incident reports, violations or permits. These documents can only be viewed by the individual member. The member is able to add a document through the Library or just monitor the progress of a document that has been added by the office staff.
Second, there are documents that address questions presented by members to Board members, the office or as part of the Good of The Order. The question and the response will be included as a document and the member is able to search the documents using key words. If the member has a question on the Annual Budget or the golf league schedule, they can see if the question has been asked before or the question can be added as a new document. An archive of Board motions back to the mid 1990's is also included in this category.
The third group of documents relate to SRCA business activity. As proposed spending actions are developed by the various committees, this activity will be documented. Then, if the Board approves a resolution for the action, the resolution will be recorded and activity on the resolution will be added.
The overall objective of the Library is to make information available to the members. Not every member will feel the need to visit the Library, but it will be there just in case.
If you plan on visiting the Library, it may be worthwhile to scan the instructions first. They can be found by clicking Read me first or by clicking the Need Help on the web page.
Note: Because of the amount information presented in each document, viewing on a laptop is recommended.
