Hey friends!

How was your summer? Ours was busy and expensive due to having to replace our garage door. My kids started school on Monday. We officially have an 11th grader and a 7th grader. How that happened, I don't know. We're trying to get used to a new schedule, but we don't want to get up early so it hasn't been easy. Hopefully, we'll all adjust soon.

PROJECT SHADOWS

This month I've revised ten chapters. Several of those chapters have brand new scenes so I've written.almost 14,000 words this month!

To find out what happened to her sister, Nori pledges for a magical secret society and has to go through some trials before she can join. I'm currently working on those scenes, and it's been a lot of fun.

For example, in one trial, the pledges must find a specific way to get rid of something that attacks them before it leaves a death mark (elimination mark) on them. I have a few more ideas for the other trials, but I'm curious to know if you've ever heard of any challenges or trials pledges must do to join a society.
