Foundation Healing Principles - part 2
Last time we talked about two very important principles -
Healing is remembering who you are... and
You are NOT your disease, you are simply experiencing it
These are very important concepts, and the key to healing.
So, now consider this - it is your attitude [i.e. your perception of who you are and what is happening to you] that binds you to the disease.
The moment that your Identity changes to incorporate the disorder, it effectively ‘locks you to the disease’, and now stagnation sets in.
Basically you now have a lot more work to do to clear all these unwanted energies...and reclaim your true self.
We can say that ‘one of the most ignored factors in healing is movement’.
Yes, there are many disorders where physical movement is difficult; still I encourage you all to do something.
If you are truly physically challenged, then simply tapping your feet to pleasant and uplifting music will start to release you from the limitations imposed upon your body.
For those of you who can, walking is considered one of the best forms of movement, and places little stress on the body... If you are more able, then dancing, Yoga, T’ai Chi... or just basic stretching exercises will begin to release the stagnation / limitations imposed upon your Life.
If you are the sort that simply refuses to ‘move’, then consider singing, chanting, breath exercises... for these will ‘cleanse your lungs and bring more energy into your body’ ... And finally, if you are truly a ‘mental type’, then add puzzles, chess, or just read a good mystery book ... anything that challenges the mind.
Each of these approaches contains ‘movement’ and will help you be open to new possibilities ... which in turn will help add a new component to your Life, and thus open the door to changes and healing.
And for those of you who are skeptics I ask you to deeply consider the following questions, for they will lead you to your own, unique path to healing -
If the event was so offensive that it hurt me so deeply, why do I choose to still honor it after so many months... Why am I so insistent that I must define myself by this disease ... How does all this serve me ... How do I benefit by describing myself as being ‘sick’ ... and when will I choose to say - enough already - and be ready to heal... [and why am I taking so long] ...?
Tough questions, but as they say “The truth shall set you free !”.
Now I also realize that healing is a multi-layered process. One where we have to go deeper and deeper until we uncover the very kernel, the seed, that is the essence of our disorder... That in fact, our symptoms are merely the latest expression of this Core Essence... and that will now offer you true healing !
But Life is a journey... and I accept that not everybody wants to be healed [for they still don’t know Who and What they are]... and if that is you, then I want to reassure you that it is ok to simply search... and wander ... and explore...
And if after all that you still haven’t found the answer, that’s ok too...
Remember, You have many lifetimes to get it right. Trust in Karma, for it will lead you to your goal [no matter how long it may take]
Life can be - and should be - a joyous journey, and there are many wonderful people that can help you achieve this ... you do not walk this path alone ...
And so I greet you all, my beloved brothers and sisters... Namaste ...
