Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) is an attractive characteristic of metal nanoparticles.  LSPR is a collective oscillation of conduction band electrons in metal nanoparticles excited by the electromagnetic field of incident light. (Organic Electronics, 2014).
