Dear Friend, The housing landscape in Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic Counties is ever-evolving and Northeast New Jersey Legal Services continually strives to remain nimble and effective for our clients. Understanding the great need in the communities we serve, NNJLS started this year with strategic investment in our already noteworthy Housing Unit as we proudly welcomed additional housing staff in all three offices. We continue to accept a multitude of housing matters ranging from assisting clients with the creation and preservation of low-income housing, tenants’ rights, evictions and lockouts, foreclosures, mitigation of homelessness, termination of utilities, and unsafe housing. Read more below and please share broadly with your network. Also, please consider partnering with us to provide meaningful access to the civil justice system for the most vulnerable members of our communities. |
