UPCOMING EVENTS
 
Here in Virginia it is starting to feel like Fall --temperature has dropped, football has begun, and school is in session for everyone.
 
I am excited to start three Parent Education classes in Maryland and Virginia this academic year -- including two in Norfolk, VA. The Parent Connection (a collaborative partnership) formally begins on October 5th at PB Young Elementary School in Norfolk.    
 
If you live in the "757" and have interest in learning more about what is happening with school partnerships, register for a Volunteer Orientation Zoom Call the first Tuesday of the month, the next one is October 3rd at 7 PM ET.

RECENT EVENTS
 
The Legacy Series -- Empowering Parents Today for Tomorrow, sponsored by LAUNCH officially began on September 16th at the Garden of Prayer #3 in Norfolk, VA in partnership with Pastor Joe McDaniel and The Empowerment Center for Children, Youth and Families INC,
 
Pastor Joe and his wife Tish McDaniel will be providing the Spiritual / Biblical context to my Life Alignment and Parent Education curriculum. We have partnered to host sessions on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month culminating with a Recognition Ceremony upon conclusion in June 2024.  
 
As we told attendees during Orientation, for those who are challenged in the areas we will cover, this can be transformative for them and their legacy.

 
Community Collaborations
 
Continuing with this new information block to highlight relationships I have established and foster with community leaders that enable positive impact on the lives and legacies of families.
 
 This month I want to dedicate the space to SJGlobal, led by Ms. Shekita Jackson. For this community partner, the person offers so much more than just the Business and Leadership Consulting Services specific to SJGlobal.  Shekita is also a  Strategist, Entrepreneur, and Pastor.  Her church - Impacted Life Church of Virginia in Portsmouth, VA also serves the community through her non-profit, Care For Me  Youth Initiative.
 
Shekita will be hosting her annual Life Under Construction: The Rebuild 2023 on October 6 -7 in Norfolk, VA ... an event you are encouraged to support (virtually or in-person).
