Find out more about writing for magazines with me at The Word (National Centre for the Written Word) at South Shields. The workshops will include researching your market, pitching an article and how to write and sell short stories. I will cover areas including why you must never underestimate the power of an opening paragraph, how to submit your work and how to deal with rejection… before trying all over again! The sessions will take place on: Sat 11 June, 2-3.30pm Sat 25 June, 2-3.30pm Please note: When booking a ticket you are booking to attend both sessions. At the end of the first session, homework will be set for attendees. This will involve thoroughly researching the chosen magazine in order to prepare a pitch for an article or an outline of a short story to submit at a later date. Booking essential - book here. |
