⛄️We Have Sno-Park Permits Regardless of if you’re going fat biking, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, or some other ing in the snow, chances are you’ll be parking in a designated sno-park. From November 1 to April 30, sno-park permits are required in all Oregon designated sno-parks. Swing by the shop to pick one up for $25. (Budgeting hack: you can move your permit from one vehicle to another.) |

🏔Snow Riding? It is possible; you’ll probably need a fat tire bike to do it, though. There is a selection of groomed trails intended for fat bike usage near Wanoga Snow Park in Bend. Riding Peterson Ridge is also a possibility with the right snow... If snow riding isn’t your thing, there’s some great winter riding to be had on a Wahoo trainer in your living room—we have multiple in stock! And to get our last sales pitch out of our system, we must mention, we have an excellent selection of the latest and greatest riding gear for the cold in stock. From helmets and beanies, to long-sleeved jerseys and insulated jackets, to riding pants and warmers, to cozy riding socks and gloves, we have all the winter-specific equipment you need! |

🚲Bikes? To prepare for another challenging year sourcing bikes and products, we have more inventory right now than ever before. Leading industry professionals have told us that bikes, parts, and accessories will be even more challenging than last year to source come peak season. So, although the current weather might not be conducive to bike thoughts, it isn't a bad idea to shop for new products and service your bike sooner than later. Full Suspension: We received our first few SCOR bikes last week (see more below) and also have Giants, Livs, Norcos, BMCs, and Devincis. Hardtails: We have some Giants, Livs, and BMCs. E-bikes: Because of supply shortages, e-bikes are pretty scarce right now. Gravel & Road: We have a limited selection—sales on certain BMCs. Kids bikes: We have a lot of ‘em!
Please take this inventory with a grain of salt; it could change quickly. For the most accurate and precise information, please call or come in. |

🔧Repairs? The current repair turnaround is 48 hours. Compare that to our May through September average turnaround of 2 weeks. Bringing in your bike—now—for service will save you from a lengthy wait in the spring. Walk-ins are welcomed, and appointments are appreciated. Please note that certain parts are taking longer than usual to get. |
🧭Rentals? Our little rental fleet of hardtails, full suspensions, and town bikes are still available—although, with current conditions, we might not let them go out depending on the intended ride. |

🎁Holiday Bike Drive Results! Thanks to our generous community stepping up and donating bikes for us to clean and repair, we can now say we have donated upwards of 450 bikes and new helmets to individuals and families in need over the past seven years. Without the generosity of the Sisters community, we would not have such a powerful, positive program for good. Thank You! |

Oregon Timber Trail Did It! 🌲 In last month’s roundup, we provided a link to donate to OTTA, and this month they’re proud to announce that last month they raised over $13,000! "We're heartened by the way you, our trail community, showed up, donated, shared the message, and rallied support. It's clear that you want this project to continue. You believe in a backcountry trail that traverses the state. One that is welcoming and open for all to enjoy. You believe in the Oregon Timber Trail as much as we do. Again…thank you. 2022 is off to an incredible start and we can't wait to get back on the trail with you all.” Also, check out this beautiful OTTA article, Jude Gerace's story of her Old Cascade Crest stewardship experience: “When I joined the OTTA board, I had a very romantic view of what supporting the development of this state-wide trail meant. I thought it came with muddy moments on the trail, flagging a future trail, and making new friends with a similar vision. There are plenty of those moments, to be sure, fortified around a campfire but there are also 2-hour Zoom meetings once per month and additional committee Zoom meetings that are far from touching a trail but are important nonetheless. Sometimes it doesn't feel impactful, it feels like a second job. There are heated moments that reveal opportunities for personal and organizational growth and truly joyful moments that can't be met with an in-person hug. All part of living in the time of pandemic and all part of working closely with people across the state.” Click here to read more. Learn more about OTTA and donate |

Sisters Trails Alliance (STA) Update 🙏 Our good friend and former board member Chuck Humphreys snapped this photo around Thanksgiving, scratched into one of the trails maintained by STA: |
It's the perfect expression of our gratitude for your year-end (and year-round!) support. Our annual appeal raised close to $7,000 to support our trail building, trail maintenance and volunteer crews in 2022. Thank you and happy new year from all of us at STA! Join STA and donate |

Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA) Update 🍻 From COTA Trail News - January: 30 Years of Trails: COTA became a nonprofit in 1992 to advocate to the U.S. Forest Service for the growing user-built trail system west of Bend. Fast forward to 2022 and we now steward more than 500 miles of singletrack throughout Central Oregon and are building more trails every year. It’s been 30 years and we plan to celebrate all year! We’re also rolling out these sweet jerseys for purchase ⬇️ Purchase them here. |

Bend Chapter: The Wanoga Fat Bike trails are open! The grooming crew led by Gary Meyers is busy, busy, busy keeping the track in good condition. We could use your help educating your friends about running low tire pressure (3psi is generally the best pressure for the groomed trails) and not walking with bare boots on the track. Bend Trails posts regular updates on the Wanoga Fat Bike trails including what’s groomed and ride conditions. Here’s a refresh on winter trail riding etiquette. Sisters Chapter: In 2022 we hope to make more progress towards getting approval from the Forest Service to build the new trails that COTA proposed in partnership with the Sisters Trail Alliance and Oregon Equestrian Trails. We are also focusing on plans for Bike Park 242. Want to get in on the action? Join COTA’s Meetup group. Our Meetup group is the portal to all our activities: work events, trainings, chapter meetings, and more! |

This Month's Must Watch 📺 |
First, something that’ll give you faith in humanity going into the New Year: |
Rahsaan Bahati: Under the Helmet “You might know Rahsaan Bahati as the racer, winner of 10 national championship titles. Or maybe you know him from Zwift, where he’s the social impact manager and a frequent ride leader. Clearly, the Los Angeles native is a man of many talents. But if you ask Rahsaan, there’s one thing that defines him most: his role as founder of the Bahati Foundation. Launched in 2010, the foundation was created to help improve the lives of young people facing the same challenges that Rahsaan faced growing up in South Central Los Angeles." Learn more. |

And second, an awesome wintery video in the Gifford Pinchot (if you haven't ridden here you seriously should this summer): |
The Gifford Pinchot National Forest Ride! “While chasing the fleeting moments of biking season, three friends find themselves in the heart of The Gifford Pinchot National Forest for a ride they will never forget." |
We look forward to getting the Sisters Bike Community back together for group rides, free bike maintenance workshops and more in 2022! As soon as we can safely do so, we will announce dates and info. Here’s to hoping 2021 isn't the prequel to 2022. Wishing you a great year, The Crew at Blazin Saddles Cycle N Supply |
