Emma Stenström awarded the SSE Corporate Partners’ Pedagogical Award 2021

This year's Corporate Partners' Pedagogical Award goes to Emma Stenström for her long-standing passion for pedagogical innovation and her deep commitment to the development of responsible citizens and leaders. SSE President Lars Strannegård presented the award, which amounts to 100,000 SEK.

Emma Stenström is this year’s recipient of the SSE Corporate Partners’ Pedagogical Award. Her profound interest and passion for pedagogy has benefitted both students and the local and global reputation of SSE. SSE President Lars Strannegård presented the award, that includes a diploma and a grant that amounts to 100,000 SEK. 

 

About the winner

Emma Stenström has been teaching with great success for over 25 years, at all program levels of SSE, including a variety of Executive Education courses.  She was part of the team developing the first version of the MSc in Business and Management, as well as serving as program director for the BSc in Business and Economics. The hallmark of Emma’s engagement as a teacher is constant pedagogical innovation. She was an early adopter of using videos and podcasts in her teaching, and to flip the classroom. Her commitment to experiential learning and the creation of new encounters, have contributed to crossing boundaries between various disciplines. Through her efforts into constantly developing her pedagogical repertoire, she is a true inspiration for and mentor to PhD students and colleagues, at SSE and beyond.
