Linda Sprau Art Newsletter July 2021
Hello from my studio.
The painting I will share with you this month is called “Voodoo Lily.” It is a loose painting of a plant that grows in my yard. It is also called the “Corpse Lily.” It smells like a dead animal, hence the name. The flowers are very large and showy. Fortunately the bad smell only lasts for a week or two. I actually had vultures circling overhead last year while it was blooming. The painting is acrylic on canvas.
