Our look is ever changing, but our charter remains the same!

It is the desire of our members to enjoy fishing first and foremost, we do have friendly competitions whilst on club trips, unlike other clubs where competition is their most important issue. Here FUN is our first priority. Our charter is to promote recreational fishing, while combining all kinds of fishing into outings for our members to enjoy. We achieve this while keeping individuals costs down, by fund raising with Meat raffles at the Redbank Plains Tavern on Friday afternoons and the occassional sausage sizzle.

2019 Red Hookers Fishing Club AGM

The AGM was successfully held last Sunday 11th August.

ALL Committee positions changed this year.

Firstly a big thank you to the outgoing committee, Shane Ford (13 years as Treasurer) and David White (13 years as President) Alex White (Secretary) and Paul Blades (Vice President)

Up coming Fishing Trips

Wivanhoe Fishing Comp

The Red Hookers are fielding some entries into the Wivanhoe fishing comp being held next weekend 16,17 18 August.

Hut Trip

Next Hut trip happening Thursday August 22nd through to Monday August 26thContact either Ray Ford or Keith Beal for details.

Iluka NSW

Clarence Head Caravan Park,  6th, 7th & 8th September.

Accommodations have been booked.

We have booked 3 cabins and 2 powered caravan sites.

This is Friday 6th September out on Sunday 8th September.

Iluka fishing opportunities include:-

Beach Fishing (you can drive on the beach)

River fishing in the Clarence River

Deep Sea fishing out through the bar (weather permitting)

Fraser Island Camping & Fishing

Monday 7th October through to Sunday 13th October

The club is part sponsoring a camping/fishing trip to Fraser Island.

The dates as above. You will need to book your camping permits, so please book for ZONE 6, this way we will all be in the same area.

The ferry has already been booked, contact Graham Nilsen for details.

You will also need to purchase a beach permit if you intend on taking your own vehicle. There are several vehicles already going, so if you want to jump in with someone else, then again contact Graham Nilsen for details.

Come along to a Friday raffle and meet up with Graham and others to discuss, and/or come along to the 3rd September club meeting.

Raffles have been difficult of late, so please, if you can make it on a Friday afternoon from 5pm to the Redbank Plains Tavern, then please turn up and support your club.
