The outdoor season is here with the first events over the weekend. Good luck to all those competing!

Newport Harriers would like to wish Jonathan Samuel and Kevin Seville who are both running the London Marathon on April 22nd, along with Gareth Knight who is running the Newport Marathon on April 29th the very best of luck!! 

Hopefully you have all been enjoying the Commonwealth Games 2018 and this will give us all some inspiration for 2018

Checkout all the ways you can be 'Part of the Team' at Newport Harriers in 2018 and put yourself forward for one of our many team competitions. Contact the relevant team managers to join in the fun! Remember you must be up to date with your membership payments if you wish to compete as we now have to re-register athletes.

We are going for promotion this year across all teams and need to put out a full team if we are to achieve this. If we can ask all athletes to enter an event they are not normally focused on as well as their main event, it will help us to gain the points we need to do this!

HOUR CLUB NEWPORT HARRIERS

Join Hour Club Newport Harriers....

Thanks to those that have joined already. We still have places left so don't be shy!

Can you spare just 1 hour to volunteer for your club in 2018.  We have over 500 members so imagine if we all just gave 1 hour of our time to help. 

Whether you are a member or parent please pledge here and offer your time to help support our great club. We do have a great team of volunteers however they are a dedicated team and small in number if big in heart.

Think what we could do with an extra 500 volunteer hours.  Don't worry we won't ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with and we will always support new volunteers so why not pledge your gift of time and email us your details.

We will contact you and keep you on our list of volunteers and let you know as and when we have opportunities that need filling and you can let us know if you are available

Gloucester 20 Miler 2018
Sunday 25th March 2018

The 2018 Gloucester 20 was held on Sunday 25th March, starting and finishing at the Robin Greaves Sports Hall, Quedgeley.  Over 600 runners took to the streets, running a 3 lap course, many using this event in preparation for the numerous Spring Marathons in the coming weeks. Read more...

How Do I get in one?

Simples - to get added to a race report just email Pocket Rocket (pocketrocketwales@gmail.com) either directly or via your coach.  Happy to have text and images.  

We will then add news to our website, social media and newsletter.
