The Pollinator Times

You Are Invited to

A Conversation with Bob Johnson of Non-Toxic Irvine!

Thursday, May 10th, 7 - 8:30pm
Pollinator Project Rogue Valley and Beyond Toxics are thrilled to bee hosting
Bob Johnson from Non-Toxic Irvine!
Two years ago, the City of Irvine voted to discontinue the use of
synthetic pesticides and fertili
zers on city property.
Not only are their landscapes more beautiful and vibrant,
they are saving water and expect to realize a reduction in costs this year!
But of course the best part is that they no longer worry about the

safety of workers, children, pets, and adults on their parks
and city landscapes. They took these actions to keep their citizens safe,
but the results are much more far-reaching than that.
Come join us to hear why and how Irvine became a non-toxic city.
Together, we can begin to create a Non-Toxic Rogue Valley.

Good News!

The European Union just banned three widely-used neonicotinoids!
Almost all outdoor uses of the chemicals will be banned.

"The ban on neonicotinoids could be a really important step towards a
more general questioning of the use of pesticides and the harm they are doing
to our environment."
