Simply Short Play Festival Update

Scripts have now been selected for Te Puke Repertory’s inaugural Simply Short Play Festival.

After receiving fifteen scripts the panel has chosen eight to produce for the festival of original works to be held in March.

The committee was thrilled to receive so many and report it was difficult to have to eliminate some from the pile.

While the festival will be something new and exciting for the society and our patrons, one of the main reasons for the festival is to attract people with no prior experience; or new to our theatre, to either direct a play and/or take on an acting role. The plays are a maximum of ten minutes long with four in the cast. Mentors will be available to support and encourage anyone wanting to have a go.

If you have the slightest inclination please join us on Sunday 11th February 5pm at Litt Park Theatre, Park Lane, Te Puke. Scripts will be available and questions answered.

With eight plays to produce  we need you!
