Future of City Link bus under review

The Regional Public Transport Plan, currently out for public consultation, states that the City Link bus service will cease to exist once the City Rail Link is  operating. There are no details around what will replace the current service. This bus link is vital for Wynyard Quarter. WQ TMA would encourage all businesses to hop online and make their feelings known. The replacement service needs to be frequent and well connected. Closing date to have your say is this Friday, 14th December.

Makeover for the Downtown area

 

There are big plans for the waterfront ahead of the next America's Cup. New open spaces, new commercial developments are all planned for the waterfront. Auckland Council will be spending $268 million on a series of projects on and around Quay Street. The area will become a vibrant and welcoming destination by 2021. For more details read on. The plans are open for public comment until 23rd December 2018.

Board elections

At the Annual General Meeting held in November a new Board was elected. The new Board members are as follows:

151 Property, Auckland Theatre Company, Fonterra, Goodman, Mott MacDonald, NZ Marine, Precinct Property, Sanford, Stolthaven Terminals, Viaduct Harbour Holdings and WSP Opus.

Non-voting members are Auckland Transport, Panuku and Waitemata Local Board.
