Hello Friends & Family!
We hope you are looking forward to a joyful season of Thanksgiving! Even though the world seems to be crazy, now is a chance for our faith to shine in the difficult times that He has put us in! Sometimes we just have to choose to look at the good, and not the bad. Amen? And as I look at all that God has done for us and our family in the past, I can’t help but remember Who He is, and what He says He can do! Since He is Sovereign AND Supernatural, doesn’t that also line up with the scripture which says, “With Him ALL things are possible”? Are we praying like that?
Last month we finished the book of Jonah. Let me tell you it has a lot more to it than just Jonah being in the belly of a big fish! You ought to go and read the first 2 chapters again slowly and see what you get! 😊 A difficult consequence, yet an awesome prayer!
We are now in the book of Mark. In chapter 4 we see that one of the stories tells us that the disciples were asleep in a boat on the sea. It was storming so bad that the boat was filling up with water and the disciples were afraid. Jesus was in the stern asleep. They woke Him up and asked Him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing”? (Do you ever feel like that)? Then Jesus rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ”Hush, be still”. It did, and also the wind became perfectly calm. Then He asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have NO faith”? They then were amazed because they then realized the “WHO” they had been in the boat with! The ONE that even the wind and the sea obeys! Isn’t He the ONE that we all want on our side in such a time as this, since faith is the ONLY thing that pleases God? I must admit, this brings me great peace…
Ken’s trip to Oklahoma was great. He was so glad to be back ministering again with Richard Coss. The messages and music were powerful and the altar calls fruitful. Several souls made decisions to make Jesus their Lord! They ministered at Limestone Church in Sand Springs, OK, as well as Blue Baptist in Connersville. We thank the pastors there for inviting them and allowing them to minister to their people there. They both have excellent outreaches through their congregations too. Blue Baptist ministers to the Chickasaw Indians there, as well as in North and South Dakota too. They bring food, clothing and Bible studies into the reservations. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus to all those places in your sphere of influence. That’s what it’s all about! I know Ken and Richard find it an honor to serve you there!
We will again be going into DCI in Louisiana the weekend of the 16th. Please help us pray for the outpouring of the Spirit to save many more inmates through the Good News of Jesus! We also are planning to go to Panama City, FL to take some supplies and minister to the hurting victims of Hurricane Michael. Please pray for their comfort and healing through this time.
Have a thoughtful, grateful and blessed Thanksgiving!
To God be the glory… Love, Ken and Cindy
