Dear Rome

Dear Friends,

I hope you're keeping safe and well and that you're up for a little armchair traveling. I recently took a little poetic trip back to Rome, to a family trip when I was 10. (That's me at the Colosseum in my favorite iron-on cat shirt—because when in Rome, especially, you want to be follow the hottest fashion trends!) :)

In writing about that trip and what it meant to me, the poem became a love letter to Rome.

I didn't know how or where to post a letter to Rome. Then I came across Mediterranean Poetry: an odyssey through the mediterranean world, so I sent my little letter off—and I'm thrilled to share that it's now part of this wonderful online collection. Happy travels!   :)

P. S. Writer friends, be sure to check out their guidelines! This is a warm, wonderful venue that invites Mediterranean-inspired poems and stories that "evoke some sense of citrus, cicadas, mountains, sea, kisses under an olive tree..."
