Here are the latest happenings from Piedmont Music Therapy's Clinic & Studio.

As we celebrate our country’s independence, we also honor those who have served to preserve our freedoms. Happy 4th of July!

Thank you to the City of Charlotte Government Arts and Culture Board for selecting our organization to receive an Opportunity Fund grant of $9,215.00! These funds will allow us to support mental health in a Music Therapy Workshop Series for Veterans and Caregivers at the Morris Field American Legion Post, Inc. #380 this fall! Stay tuned for more details in partnership with Veterans Bridge Home!

8/30/24 Continuing Music Therapy Education (CMTE) Opportunity
Attention music therapists: PMT is thankful to Dr. Theresa Camilli, MT-BC for providing another round of her course "Practical Ways to Better Incorporate and Play The Piano."  This in-person training will be offered on Friday, August 30 at 8am. Registration open until 7/15/24, cost is $35.00.

Free Series exploring music with neighbors in August & September

Residents of Mecklenburg County, check out the FREE 4-week programs that PMT Staff will lead in August & September. There is limited enrollment. Please only register for your top preference to ensure equitable space for all.

Summer Break
PMT is proud to be a Cultural Arts Education Provider through Arts & Science Council. Thanks to these schools for choosing PMT to provide programs for students or teachers: 
Philips Academy, Winterfield Elementary School, Smithfield Elementary School, and Live Learn Play Preschool (photo from Instagram included).

Volunteer Spotlight
Thanks to the new volunteer, Jenna who supports PMT's work through assisting to sanitize and organize materials! We're grateful that she learned about PMT's mission through SHARE Charlotte.

Snacks are not allowed in the waiting area at PMT Main. The safety policy is to protect people with food allergies.
