Indigenous Women's Working Group |
|
|
This group is dedicated to creating safe spaces for Indigenous women in our community, spaces that foster healing, problem-solving, and advocacy for policy changes. Our project was established as a response to the adversities faced by Indigenous communities. We have clear priorities and a strong sense of purpose: ● Preservation of Traditional Lifeways: We recognized that safeguarding and revitalizing our traditional lifeways is a key part of the solution. ● Reproductive and Gender Justice: We have been actively engaged in promoting these values through a series of initiatives. Learn more ● Practicing Traditional Ecological: We firmly believe that violence against Mother Earth is violence against our women. This commitment to protection of the sacred is integral to our purpose. |
