NGPC LAKE HAVASU NOVEMBER 12-13 |
NGPC Round 10 November 12-13 Lake Havasu, AZ. The final race of 2022 for us at one of the most anticipated tough tracks of the year. Many know its challenges, but few really understand how tough it is. This track is a short lap with DEEP bump with relentless effort required to go fast here. There is no time to take a break and recover your breath. Not to mention, riders end up doing over 15 laps in a 1.5 hour race. |

JUSTIN SEEDS 6TH PRO 250 CHAMPIONSHIP 4TH |
Justin put in a killer first lap leading the charge and started to fall back a bit, but held on to the back of the lead group and had some of the better times in the class. The old man still has some speed for the young bucks. In his words: "I Was able to get out front again and lead for about a lap and a half until I realized that the young kids behind me had a little faster pace then me. After running second I ended up with a rock stuck between the motor and rear brake pedal and had to slow up to get it out cause me to loose a couple spots. After the race finished I was pretty happy with my race amd to end the year strong." |

TREVOR STEWART 7TH PRO CHAMPIONSHIP 9TH |
Contending for a podium in the opening laps, Trevor was on track for a good day, but ran into some issues with lappers. In doing so, he exerted more energy than expected getting around the traffic and he lost stamina. Not the day he was looking for to end the season. A healthy off season will be vital to being successful next season for him. In his words: "I got off to a decent start, but got shuffled back to about 8th coming through second corner. I started picking guys off one by one, and made a charge to the front of the pack. Battled for 3rd for a lap with hoeft and Dante, ultimately settling for 4th for most of the race. Had 2 very late run ins with lappers and fatigue set in ultimately costing me positions. Such a bummer, but the best i rode since my shoulder injury. Thanks for a fun year. " |

THOMAS DUNN 9TH PRO 250 CHAMPIONSHIP 6TH |
Not the day we expected for Thomas, something definitely wasn't clicking. We are happy he is healthy and we will be going to the drawing board to find out what it will take to make him more successful for 2023. In his words: "Didn’t get a good start, then crashed 3 times on the 2nd lap which didn’t help either. Took a breather and started finding a flow. Rode some solid consistent laps and felt like I was riding the best I ever have in the sand. Definitely something to build off and I’m looking forward to a healthy off season and come into next year more ready then ever. Thank you team!!" |

CLAY HENGEVELD DNF PRO CHAMPIONCHIP 18TH |
Clay Hengeveld had a rough weekend and was unable to come to terms with the track conditions.
In his words: "Sunday I got off to a 6th place start but I was not comfortable and felt like a hazard out there, so I made the difficult decision to pull off. That’s not me, and I have never done that. It was the right call for me, unfortunately. we will take these next couple months to get some really good testing/seat time in for next season.
A huge thank you to Ron for the opportunity and the whole purvines Racing team. I am very thankful for the opportunity to do what I love. Looking forward to next season." |
