Covid Sucks! Community Collaboration with CBMS |
Parents of CBMS 7th and 8th graders reached out to MakerSphere to develop an assortment of creative challenges for children to do on remote learning days. Beginning March 22nd, over the next 4 weeks, students can choose to participate with Get Creative (creative challenges), Get Outdoors (outdoor activities with friends), and Get Active (service projects to help people in our town). Note that there is no charge for these activities. For the Get Creative challenge, MakerSphere put together a total of 12 creative activities; 3 each week for the next 4 weeks. We offer great, easy project ideas suitable for one student or to be done with friends. There are also lots of amazing rewards for participation! By offering our youth support to keep connected while being engaged in fun creative projects, we can fight back against the loneliness and frustration that the pandemic has produced for students, parents, and teachers alike.
Here are a few fun entries from our Laundryscape challenge: Make art out of your laundry! |
