Jason C. Stearns, President - ARMA International As an association, ARMA has a proven and unique ability to bring together individuals in support of a common purpose where differences of opinion, background, and experiences are welcomed. This past fall, we announced our new Values Statement. As an organization that values the open exchange of ideas and good governance, the events that took place in Washington DC January 6th run counter to what we stand for. We join the 70+ organizations (as of this writing) that condemn the violence and actions of that day. As individuals who care about our nations, our democracies, and our fellow citizens, we can lead by example in creating positive change around the world. Tomorrow we will watch the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States. Yesterday, ARMA entered into its own democratic process and is electing members of our board of directors for the 2021-2022 term. All eligible Professional members in good standing will have received an email from our Survey and Ballots system with their access information to vote. I encourage members to use this opportunity to guide the future of ARMA and vote before the February 15th deadline. Information about the slate of candidates can be found here. Wishing you health, peace, and strength. Jason C. Stearns, President Jason.Stearns@armaintl.org “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness” – Desmond Tutu | | |

| | The pandemic has tested our ability to collaborate, forcing organizations and their employees to find new ways of working together. But these challenges have also strengthened our sense of collective purpose and teamwork, helping us achieve more than we initially thought possible. Join Iron Mountain for our 2021 education webinar series Collaborate. Innovate. Rethink, as we focus on how business leaders must continue to motivate, facilitate collaboration and rethink what’s needed to propel their organizations forward. We’ll be kicking off the series on February 11th, as Iron Mountain CTO Kim Anstett, discusses how changes made in the face of the pandemic, often with immediacy, can prevail, and how we should remain committed to innovation and the exploration of new processes and technology to meet the demands of a new decade. | | |
