Greetings CCCHS Members!

 

Thank you to everyone who attended the annual delegate assembly in November. During the meeting, the slate for the 2020 Board of Directors was presented by the Nominating Committee and approved by membership.

Also at this meeting, the Robert T. Ott Seed Grant Committee announced the recipients of this year's grant. The Centre County RSVP VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program received $2,500 to help purchase laptops needed to prepare over 1800 income tax returns for lower income individuals in 5 locations throughout Centre county. Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) also received $2500 to assist with the purchasing of iPads which will streamline the screening process for patients.

 

Our next membership meeting will be held on December 5, 2019 at 12pm at Calvary Church. As a reminder, membership luncheons and board meetings will be cancelled in the event that any one or more of the school districts in State College, Bellefonte, Penns Valley, Bald Eagle, Philipsburg do not have school due to weather conditions (in the case of delays only, meetings will still take place).

New Online Membership Form Highlights

  • Your organizational membership form will be completed once you hit the submit button.
  • An automatic notification and invoice will be sent to the CCCHS contact email. We DO NOT accept online payments at this time.
  • If you return your invoice by February 28, 2019 organizational membership fee is $60. Membership dues received after that date are $65.00.
  • Don't forget to hit submit to make sure your membership form is processed. If you have any questions please email ccchs2@gmail.com.

2019 Seed Grant Awardees

The Seed Grant Committee announces Centre Volunteers and Medicine and Centre County RSVP Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program are the 2019 Seed Grant Awardees

Robert Ott Seed Money Grants are intended to provide start-up funding for new programs or initiatives or for the expansion of existing programs. Funded projects must provide direct services to Centre County human services clients or provide a service that will benefit the community at large. Seed Money Grants are distributed annually.

  GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKET

Lemont Village Association

 

The 11th Annual German-style “Weihnachtsmarkt”, celebrating Christmas in Lemont, with local crafts, music, bratwurst and treats, beverages, and good spirits

 

Date: Friday, December 6th 

Time: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

 

Date: Saturday, December 7th

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

 

Where: Grain Elevator and Coal Sheds (the Granary) in Lemont, 133 Mt. Nittany Road. 

 

 

Come out and enjoy the magic of the season. There will be music Friday evening opening the market with Christmas cheer and grilled bratwurst and hotdogs for supper.

 

Come dressed for the weather, and have a cup of hot cocoa or warming German drink with good friends and neighbors - all that is needed to start the holidays right. Kids are very welcome, be sure to dress for the weather - there is NO heat in our buildings.

 

  • Santa and Mrs. Claus will be blowing in from the North Pole on Saturday!
  • 25 + vendors
  • Local Lemont merchants will have special hours and offerings, making it a festive weekend throughout Lemont.

 

All proceeds go to the restoration and maintenance of the Historic Grain Elevator and Coal Sheds. Together we can guarantee that generations to come will be able to enjoy the Granary.
