Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show

Oct 7-15, 2023

 

State Fair Park

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

 

The Miller Show Team had a great time at the 51st Anniversary of the Grand National & World Championship Horse Show last month.

 

We drove over 1,330 miles each way, faced amazing competition including some of the nicest horses and best riders in the country and the Show Team team brought home the following top honors:

One Reserve World Champion

Two Grand National Champion

 

Congrats to all our participants - riders and drivers! You were all amazing and you made us very proud!

ULTRAS LOVE POTION CH & Jordan Canby

 

RESERVE WORLD CHAMPION

GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPION

 

Congratulations to Jordan Canby and Ultras Love Potion CH for besting the English Pleasure Driving Junior Exhibitor 13 & Under class and bringing home the Reserve World Champion tricolor and Grand National Champion blue ribbon. Congratulations Jordan and Canby family!

PARTY NIGHT & Brooke Yule-Gronau

 GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPION

 

Brooke rode the hair off Party Night to bring home the Grand National Championship blue ribbon in Hunter Pleasure 4-year olds.

 

Lana is owned by Frank & Ann Miller and offered for your consideration.

 

TAMARA MORAVEC & Morengo SS CH, Rustic V's Bottom Line and Bears Necessity GCH

 

Congratulations to Tamara Moravec and her trio of beautiful and talented Morgans.

 

Tamara was seen in the Classic Pleasure Masters division on Morengo SS CH, the English Pleasure Masters wtih Rustic V's Bottom Line and Tamara and Bears Necessity GCH presented in the Western Pleasure Masters division.

KEARA HOLLAND & Clayhill Affirmative GCH

 

Keara and Clayhill Affirmative had a great showing and amazing patterns against the toughest competition.

Keara and Mouse teamed up to bring home a 3rd place ribbon in the GN Saddle Seat Equitation 14-17 and also made it to both the AMHA Gold Medal and UPHA Finals. Nice job Keara and Mouse! And much thanks to Ann Blankenship for allowing Keara to ride your gorgeous gelding. He is a total love!

AMHA YOUTH OF THE YEAR CONTEST

 

KEARA HOLLAND

 

 

 

The Grand National Youth of the Year Contest is an annual contest where winners of Local Youth contests from all over the Nation compete for the prestigious title of AMHA Youth of the Year.

 

Youth who win the Senior division or who score over 800 points in the Senior division at local contests qualify to compete for AMHA Youth of the Year at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show in Oklahoma City. The winner of this prestigious title receives a unique prize package customized by the winner valued at $3,500. The reserve winner receives a unique prize package customized by the reserve winner valued at $1,500.  Local and regional contests are open to youth of all ages, but only those aged 14 years and older can qualify to compete in Oklahoma.

 

Congratulations to Keara Holland for her hard work on the AMHA Youth of the Year Contest last week at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show!

 

We know this was a lot of extra work and we just love the way you represented the Miller team in such a positive way this year!

SARAH NACK and Dutch-Mor Masterpiece

 

In their first performance together in OKC, Sarah and Big Jim were seen in both pleasure and equitation classes. Great job Sarah!

Three Generations of YULE Ladies

Both Linda and Brooke put on a show in the irons on SLR Sam Spade

ASHTYN MARIE COX and Motivated Ms.

Ashtyn and Motivated Ms. had some amazing rides in both the pleasure and equitation divisions.

TATUM FOSTER & Old School Groove

 

The new dynamic duo of Tatum and Viv were seen in both equitation and pleasure divisions. These two are a force to be reckoned with and we can't wait to see what their future holds.

CLARA WOSSER & Namaste

Clara and Namaste were seen in both equitation and pleasure divisions and looked absolutely fabulous! Way to go Clara and Nate!

Congratulations to TAMARA MORAVEC on the sale of Muy Bien CH

 

Muy Bien CH, previously owned by Tamara Moravec of Fidelis Farm, found his new little girl in Ella Sorvelli and she couldn't be more excited! Hoss is now under the direction of Olivia and Josh Piatt of Champion Hill Farm.

 

Muy Bien CH with Sydney LoCascio in the iirons brought home the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP tricolor in Adult Saddle Seat Equitation.

TAMARA & BRUCE MORAVEC welcome Rustic V's Bottom Line

 

Tamara and Dale got along so well this past year that Lindsay Heliker decided that they needed to be together forever.

Congratulations to ANN BLANKENSHIP on the sale of Clayhill Affirmative GCH and the purchase of LSMF Paladian South

Clayhill Affirmative GCH went home with Maggi Stables and is living his best life in Northern California.

Congratulation to Ann on her new 4-year old gelding, LSMF Paladian South, barn name "Beau".

2023 BATTLE OF THE BARNS BUCKET FUNDRAISER

 

Huge shout out to Laurie Nack for spearheading the Battle of the Barns Bucket Fundraiser for the Miller team with all proceeds benefiting the National Museum of the Morgan Horse.

 

The Miller team worked together on the THE ULTIMATE GIFT CARD basket.

 

Thank you to all the families that came together to donate to the basket.

SAVE THE DATE for the first Regional Horse Show of the 2024 season. The Southern California Horseman’s Council (SCHC) Jingle Bell Horse Show will run Thursday – Sunday, November 30th - December 3rd at the newly remodeled Del Mar Horsepark.

 

This show is for American Saddlebreds, Arabian, Baroque Horses, Hackney Ponies, Mangalarga Marchador, Morgans, OGB Academy, Carriage Driving, Open Pleasure, Parade and Equitation. The judge is John Warner from Uptown, KY. There is something for everyone so come out and compete!
