Bon Voyage, Bonnie Waxman! After almost 70 years in American Canyon, founding member, Bonnie Waxman, left our town and moved to Arizona, to live with her daughter. Bonnie was instrumental in building the Foundation in the early years and her role as Secretary and Historian left us with a legacy of photos, documents and memories. Thank you for your hard work, and enjoy yourself! For more photos and video, click here. |

Arts Foundation Updates Here's some quick updates on Foundation activities and events. |
Hispanic Heritage Celebration Thanks to a grant from the Arts Council Napa Valley, we planned to host a cultural event highlighting the Latinx Community at the Chamber's very successful "Meet Me in the Street" program. Unfortunately, Covid concerns shut down this venue for this year. But the good news is, our grant has been extended and you will see it next year! And perhaps an expanded Arts & Cultural program as well! |

Community Mosaic It's always an adventure! We are working on framing the three panels and getting them ready for installation at the Boys & Girls Club in American Canyon. Thank you to all our sponsors and individuals who donated to this project. Our goal is to complete this before the end of this year. For more info, go to our website. |

We could use your help!: We want to reach out to our membership for help with some of the internal operations of the Foundation. Here are three areas: - Membership: Not just recruiting new members, but organizing events for members only (think field trips, paint outs, wine tastings)
- Communications: Maintaining our website and social media, and helping with the Newsletter.
- Community Service: This includes both our annual Student Scholarship and School Grants program, as well as our partnership with the City to host fun events during the year.
If any of these areas sound interesting to you, please let us know! Email us at AmCanArts@gmail.com, or show up at our next Board Meeting and we can talk! |

ACAF Board Meeting Highlights The Board did not meet in August, so there's not much to report!! We'll keep you posted on our future board meetings--whether they'll be in person or online/zoom. All active or future ACAF members are welcomed to attend Board meetings, which are held on the Second Tuesday of each month, at 7pm. We send out the meeting notice to all ACAF members, which will include whether it's in person (and where) or the online zoom link. |
