Closing of Estonian House Sale
Enables Community Move to IEC!
The International Estonian Centre Project (IEC) has entered its next phase: Estonian House in Toronto Ltd. (EH) and Estonian Foundation of Canada (EFC) are pleased to update the Estonian community that their Broadview group of properties has been sold to DK Broadview Inc. of Toronto for a base price of $15.6 million with a possible upward adjustment depending on the final density achieved by the purchaser on its proposed rezoning of the properties. With this sale, our community marks a major milestone in the creation of a new and dynamic International Estonian Centre in Toronto. Read more here. Eesti keeles siin.
Postimees - Canadian Estonians are Building a New Nest
Postimees, Estonia's oldest daily newspaper, published a story about the International Estonian Centre (IEC) for their readers over the weekend.
The piece reflects how IEC is inspiring interest in the international Estonian community and the opportunity we now have to create a dynamic hub that will showcase our rich heritage and promote Estonian innovation.
Planning has continued for the
new International Estonian Centre
Despite the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic presents to all aspects of our lives, the International Estonian Centre (IEC) project team is charting good progress. The team is working steadily on next steps toward opening the new Centre in mid-2022.

Welcome to the Neighbourhood!
The International Estonian Centre shared some local Annex community spirit on November 9, 2020, by gifting five birch trees that were planted in the Paul Martel Park, directly opposite the IEC site on Madison Avenue. Read more here. Eesti keeles siin.
