#CommunityIsHealing even when we are #TogetherApart

Courage Club Corner

As numbers in our area rise, we are continuing to practice social distancing. We encourage everyone to wear a mask, wash their hands, and practice social distancing. Many of those we serve are at increased risk for complications due to their diagnosis or treatments. Their safety is our top priority, so we will continue to engage at a distance until it is safe to gather in person again. We continue to consult with our board members, medical advisors, and (of course) those we serve as we think towards safe ways to gather in the future.

We hope you will hop on over to our website and click on "Community Apparel" to purchase a mask! Each mask purchased also gets a mask donated to a cancer patient or survivor. What a great way to spread awareness, not germs!

Fitness Force!

As gyms begin opening up, many of our Fitness Force survivors and supporters are finding their way back to their fitness routines. Many are still staying home, and we are continuing to encourage one another to "Find your fit" whatever your situation. Official in person Fitness Force events are still on hold, but please keep posting those "sweaty selfies" and encourage each other to move! Remember that you can still apply for Fitness Force scholarships too! (See link in group.)

COMING SOON: 2021 BOON PROJECT COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

We have exciting news! In July, applications and nominations will be open for our very first class of Boon Project Community Ambassadors. The Boon Project's mission statement calls us to create a collaborative cancer fighting culture. We are excited to work with some amazing young adults who will help grow our community of support. We believe that community is healing, even when we are "together apart." Stay tuned for more!
