"If you don't know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else." – Lawrence J. Peter
It's a new year, a clean slate, a blank page. We can finally be the person we've always wanted to be and establish all those good habits we've been neglecting. In reality we're the same old people we were all the way back in 2022 and your body certainly remembers what you've been putting it through. Nevertheless, a new year is an opportunity for us to act like we can start afresh.
In that spirit, I've been trying to set some goals. And of course, mid-month I got really busy so I haven't looked at my goals since the first week of January. I should check that I'm on track. Is goal-setting something that you do and does it work for you? I've been having this conversation with a few people and even read a book on it recently. I was so inspired that I decided to write a whole blog about it. Have a read if you too struggle with goals sometimes.
I'm also entering my fourth year of business and I've been thinking about old clients - now that I have a few under my belt. I thought 2023 could be a good year to check in and see how they're doing and see how the work we did together helped! If that's you, get in touch, I'd love to see where you are now and brainstorm some ideas of what you could do next.

Is goal-setting worth it?
January is the month when start thinking about the exciting potential of the year ahead. It stretches away from us like a blank page. And as any writer knows, a blank page can be terrifying.
So, where to start with conquering this year? Here are some of my thoughts.
If we've worked together before I'd love to find out how you're doing - what's working and what's not.
I'm offering previous clients a FREE 45 minute consult to check in on your marketing and see if there are any areas that need reviewing or additional support. I'm happy to brainstorm some ideas and make recommendations.
We were talking about resolutions and we came up with some good ones so I wanted to share them with you here!
We're not talking about the "Lose 10 lbs." or "I promise to eat greens 5 times a day" brand of resolutions, we're more interested in the fundamental, internal growth type of resolutions that make us more conscious, more present and more engaged individuals.
Brands who crush their competition are those who understand that strategic branding goes much deeper than pretty website visuals and responsive mobile design (as important as these things are to a user's experience). Branding is layered, sculpted, tested, and a reflection of what your customer needs from you -- not what you need from your customer. Here are a few of them.
I feel like this January was an unusually cold and snowy one here in Colorado's Front Range. Often January is a temporary respite of sunny warm days before the snow comes back in earnest in Feb and March. This year it's clinging on around my house. On the plus side, this has made for some great playtime in the mountains. This photos is of a lake up in Rocky Mountain National Park. You can tell it's a lake by the fact that it's perfectly flat and nothing is growing there!
