We have had over 70 students register from a wide range of schools across the state and we are extatcic!! If you have missed the deadline but are interested in applying yourself or your student please contact me as soon as possible. “Safer Roads For All” press event, in collaboration with The Tori Lynn Andreozzi Foundation, AAA Northeast and Youth Driven. Thank you to our presenters, Justin Lake, Keagan Gromley, Diana Gugliotta, Cathy Andreozzi and Rebecca White. Thank you to the West Warwick Police Department and everyone who could attend the press event. Lastly, but the most importantly, thank you to the victim families and friends that attended. Your voices are the most important for everyone to hear. As Keagan said with such grace, “What next?” The wave of change for safer roads is coming and we need everyone’s support to help keep our roads safe for everyone. |

MADD RI & YOUTH DRIVEN MOCKTAIL 2022 |
|
|
THANK YOU to everyone who attended and took part in the MADD RI YOUTH DRIVEN Mocktail event. Thank you to all the schools and families that allow us to remember and honor their loved ones through this hopeful event. The energy in the room was electrifying and it was so nice to celebrate this wonderful event again in person. THANK YOU TO FRANCIE from MADD RI for all her hard work and coordination and THANK YOU to Laura and the Hendricken group for hosting such a spectacular event. Congratulations to all of our schools and our winners, 3rd Prout, 2nd Hendricken, 1st place (tie) Scituate and MT. Hope. And peoples choice award went to the youngest group but with the most heart, Curtis Corner Middle School!!! |

ROGERS HIGH SCHOOL raised awareness about April being National Distracted Driving Awareness Month and wrote distracted driving facts and satistics on the sidewalks at school. |

Had a blast presenting Safer Roads = Healthier Communities at Rhode Island PREVCON 2022. Making the connection that everyone shares our roads, even individuals who are struggling with substance use and mental health. |

St. Andrew's School honored thier drunk driving victim, Carol Isacco during an assembly to the student body. Explaining who she was and why it is so important to not drive impaired. |

They feel speed and different driving patters are to blame. Americans drove less during the early months of pandemic, yet traffic fatalities increased. There was a sense among many safety experts that this was an anomaly, that fatality rates would revert to trend once people started driving again. That didn’t happen. | | |
