What an absolutely amazing weekend!
The 2021 inaugural "Costumiers Fantasy Masquerade Ball" weekend was a spectacular visual buffet of costumes and creations, and everyone were just so stunning. Thank you!!

Thank you all for the beautiful comments and compliments, these have been wonderfully received.  We've shared a few of these throughout this email.

As a first year event with no rehearsal, no chance to test our props, lighting or set up, we're incredibly happy with how the weekend flowed, and I have to give MASSIVE KUDOS to our amazing event team, volunteers, helpers, musicians, entertainers, stall holders, costume exhibitors, venue and contractors for their huge part in making this happen too.

We've also appreciated the constructive feedback too, either offered over the the course of the weekend, in person since, or via our Ball Attendees Group on Facebook.  

Throughout the ball weekend my team and I were regularly asking guests for their comment and feedback, and any thoughts they had about things that could be improved - along with noting things ourselves - and in the weeks since the ball Paul and I have meet with the hotel, Level 13, and many of our contractors, discussing positive improvements for 2022.

Much of the feedback, comments or improvements have been raised and addressed for 2022 and we're looking forward to an even greater weekend in 2022, and we're super excited to share some of this with you...

Costumiers Fantasy Masquerade Ball
Saturday 16th July 2022 - with TWO themed ballrooms

Promenade in the pre-function, main foyer and public bar, with live entertainment, musicians, drinks and lite nibbles. Once the ballroom doors open you will have two themed ballrooms available - two ball rooms to float between - with music and dancing for everyone to enjoy.

A MUST EXPERIENCE EVENT !!

It's been fascinating to watch the excitement for the "Creatures of Atlantis" event grow.

When we initially planned the Friday event it was only intended as a 'sub-par bit of lite fun' for guests arriving into Rotorua on the Friday, ahead of the main Saturday event. But the theme refused to be lumped there, we got excited for all the possibilities, you all did too, and it's taken on a life of its own and has become something mystical and alluring... much like the merfolk in the pool.

Based on 2022 ticket sales numbers to date, it seems only a few of the most hardened souls have opted to miss this event from their 2022 programme:

85%  Friday & Saturday |  15%  Saturday only

To accommodate the demand the event will be spreading into the Breakfast Brasserie and Millennium 5 Function room (where the 2021 costume exhibit was ) to offer greater capacity.

These additional spaces will offer both a photography booth and photographers wall, more seating and chillout zones, low light and brighter lit areas, two bars .... so something for every sea creature to enjoy... and most importantly, allows us to increase capacity by another 35%.

Post--event ticket sales this year for the 2022 event were so strong we are just about selling into that 35% capacity now.  So don't miss out because when the Combo (or Friday only) tickets are gone, they're gone.

A few changes for 2022

There are some changes around the pool itself, including a newly installed glass pool fencing around it's parameter, and due to a health & safety review there are changes to the pool access on the evening - please pop over to our website FAQ's & Information for details on this.

Demand for this event is huge !!

However maximum capacity for this event is only 50 pax, so to offer more the opportunity to attend we are offering two session times in 2022.  To make this possible we have had to simplify the catering to allow for the venue to reset between sessions.

2022 Costume Competition Update

What a spectacular display of costumes...

We're so sorry to those who wished to enter the competition but didn't get the opportunity. 

We acknowledge we didn't get the registration & sign up right, especially given that so many put such huge efforts into your costumes and hoped to compete, so we have given the Costume Competition a massive shake up for 2022.

2022 Planning & Concepts sorted...

The concept drawings for 2022 are now up on my office wall and we have already begun sourcing props and theming for the new themes and zones for next year.

We're super excited to share bits of them with you - so stay tuned to CNZ Wild Adventures Facebook page - and we'll occasionally send out emails over the next year with important updates too.  

There will also be opportunities to help with working bee's in the months ahead for those keen to lend a hand.  More details will be posted closer to those times.

Watch out for scammers

Please remember that your tickets are NOT TRANSFERRABLE. 

Please do not sell your ticket to anyone else - or buy from anyone online saying they have ones for sale because 99.99% of the time they are scammers.

• If for some reason you are unable to attend next years event, contact me.  
• If one of your guests who you have bought tickets for no longer can attend and you wish to transfer it to someone else, contact me.
• It is VITAL for COVID Event Management that I have an accurate list of our guests - if your details change (email / phone / names etc.) contact me.
