Dear Friends, As we enter the fourth week of this crisis, we are very grateful for all of the donations. |
Chervonohrad's Current State: Our hometown, Chervonohrad, population 65,000 people, is quickly becoming a home to thousands of refugees from Kyiv and Eastern Ukraine. All apartment buildings are full, and families are being put up in schools and commercial buildings. We continue to be in touch daily with our family and friends on the ground who keep us updated on the quickly evolving needs. |

Your Donations Made The Following Possible: |
- Uncle Bogdan flew from NJ to Poland (not funded) and drove across the border to hand-deliver medicine, food, and supplies to Chervonohrad.
- Our family-owned apartment in Chervonohrad is hosting 9 people from Eastern Ukraine. This includes 2 boys who have been separated from their parents and a family with a 4-month old baby girl. They were provided money and supplies from Uncle Bogdan’s drop-off. We have also airfreighted additional supplies to them that were a secondary need that should arrive in the next two weeks.
- 3 family friends living in Chervonohrad each have a refugee family from Kyiv living with them. We have funded the purchase of additional bedding, shoes, and food.

Chervonohrad daycares are being converted to house displaced mothers and children. We have funded the purchase of bedding, cleaning supplies and food, which have been delivered directly to daycares by our family friends.
- A family friend conducts daily drives between Lviv, Chervonohrad, and the Polish border to transport people and supplies. Funds have been provided to cover gas and tolls for over 300 trips.
- We were introduced to a family originally from Chervonohrad, currently in the suburbs of Kyiv. They have received funds to purchase food for their children.
- A friend in Poland bought baby formula, grains, and tea to be driven directly to Chervonohrad.

Our NJ/NY community has been very generous, donating critical supplies to a family residence in NJ. Our parents spend their free time sorting, packing, and labeling to then be airfreighted by Meest USA at no cost to the most critical locations in Ukraine.
Upon request from our Chervonohrad friends, we donated to an organization that provides bulletproof vests to civilians, which are much needed for the local, territorial defense and protection of supplies delivery and evacuation routes of Ukrainians.

- Organize a supplies drive in NJ to collect oatmeal, buckwheat, rice, Tylenol, and tea. Donation money will be used to airfreight goods directly to Chervonohrad.
- Continue to support the families mentioned above and daycare shelter with needs they communicate to us. Including new refugee families, we are connected to.
- We are in touch with a group of friends in Łódź, Poland, who are hosting 80 displaced orphans. We are in discussions to determine the most practical help from our side.

If you would like to support any of these next steps, please visit our donation page or respond to this message directly. These donations go beyond financial aid and provide much-needed mental support and strength to our family and friends. We feel very fortunate to be in a position to help our small community in Chervonohrad, which is then able to extend help to many others. Thank you for standing with us and Ukraine. And above all, please pray for peace. |
