Trevor put in another solid ride. The sand was brutal and from everyones feedback, it was one of the gnarliest havasu tracks to date. Totaling 25 laps in non stop whoops. He would finish 5th on the day.
In his words:
"We had a rough one yesterday. Coming into the weekend I felt very capable and strong, but sometimes it just doesn’t go the way you want it. I got off to a real bad start and made it hard on myself from the beginning. With how tight the track was I couldn’t make too many passes as quickly as I wanted. I caught up to the guys in front of me and started clicking people off, until I was trying to make a pass on 5th and he cut my wheel and I went down. Gutted myself on the bars and truly never recovered. I felt like I was gonna throw up the whole race but just did my best to be active and stay out there. Bummed on my result, but happy I finished. I had really bad headache and body chills post race yesterday and a 103 fever, and Threw up the whole drive home so I ended up getting checked out last night. Not sure if it was just exhaustion or I over worked myself early on. Just glad I’m a little better this morning."
