Nevertheless

Wrap-Up

Wow, thank you to the 960 people who attended our four sold-out shows of Nevertheless in March at Z Space! We cannot thank our audiences enough for your continued support of the arts and social change. We are simply flabbergasted.

See moments of the show on our social media sites, or read some of the reviews such those from the San Francisco Chronicle and Critical Dance.

What's next for Nevertheless? Cat Call Choir and ka·nei·see | collective are still trying to figure that out. Have some ideas? Want to support? We would love to hear from you!

Nevertheless

Art Gallery

We were incredibly thrilled at the success of the newest element of Nevertheless, the art gallery. At the start of each performance we literally had to walk around the exhibit and ask at least 40 people to take their seats! The buzz in the lobby for 2 hours before and 1 hour after each show was inspiring. Thank you to the participating artists and to the attendees for sparking conversation and offering a wider lens through which to consider the topic of sexual harassment.

Dance Teacher magazine interview

Based on her years of experience and teaching philosophies, Tanya was interviewed by Dance Teacher magazine on how to pace class and why it matters.

Read the May 2019's issue

"Setting the Pace" here.

ODC Sandbox Series

In Dec 2018, three choreographers were chosen for a one month residency each at ODC / Dance purely for the purpose of creative exploration. Tanya chose six dancers via an audition process to embark together in this creative process. The research results were fun, informative, and fruitful!
